"Wow, the virtual retreat was a total immersion into Norwegian history, yarns, designs, knitting styles, and sharing of knowledge! I have found a much deeper passion to absorb much more from Anne and her team! I loved how the weekend was a total mind, body, and soul experience. It was interactive, fun, relaxing, refreshing (loved the yoga sessions!) and just plain good for the soul!"

This was my first experience with Anne. I didnāt quite know what to expect. At first I felt a bit out of place as so many participants were familiar to Anne and some to each other. I have been in other online classes where many of the participants have had knitting experiences together. At first I have felt a bit odd man out but Iām happy to say that Anne did a good job of making me feel welcome. It was interesting to have the focus be on Norway and the history of knitting. I donāt think I realized that when I signed up but I thoroughly enjoyed learning so much about Norway and would really like to visit such a beautiful country. I thoroughly enjoyed all the speakers particularly the women who produced the yarn that we used. And I loved seeing all the wonderful knitted items both historical and modern day. Such inspiration! I loved the inclusion of yoga and really enjoyed all the sessions that we had. The flow of the weekend was pretty good. I appreciated being able to get up and move on a regular basis. In the beginning I found it a bit awkward to go in and out but after a few times it was easy. Iām particularly excited to get back to my 30+ year old sweater that I need to finish and I certainly got a lot of inspiration from the weekend. I think it was meant to be for me to sign up. I hadnāt thought about the sweater in several years. Iām attaching a photo. (Hopefully!) Thank you so much for a well-run, well-organized three days. I would definitely recommend any workshop with you to others as this was so interesting and great fun. You are correct Anne, when you say you have a wonderful team. They did a great job along with you. I had a wonderful time and it was a very welcome break from all that is going on in the world (especially the US!) And I love my new hat! ā¤ļø Please extend my thanks to all the people who shared their expertise with us!

My mom taught me to knit when I was 6 years old. Years later after getting married and pregnant with my first child, I tried my hand at knitting baby outfits with some color work but had to give it to my mom as it was ātoo hardā. She finished the pieces with ease. Fast forward to last year when I first saw Anneās Norwegian Knitting on Facebook, I decided to try color work again. This time Anne helped me to finally āget itā. Well, my mom passed away a few weeks back and knitting was stopped. I forced myself to sign on for the retreat. And honestly, Iām really glad that I did. I LOVED the historical presentation and the design presentation. I started my hat with that wonderful yarn. (I think it is my favorite.). The picture does not do the pattern justice. Anne and her team have built a loving and supportive community of people who share a true passion for the art of knitting.
